Rideability offers an exciting programme for schools and nurseries to promote the physical benefits of cycling for young children as well as providing a fun and engaging activity. The programme offers children the ability to become competent cyclist at an early age through the development of balance and control.

Our Balance Bike course is designed specifically for children aged 2 ½  who want to take their first step towards learning how to ride a bike. We will be there to guide and offer support as they get mobile on two wheels before progressing to riding with pedals. The programme is designed to help children gain confidence and skills to ride a pedal bike independently, getting them off to the best start in cycling and assisting their ability to participate in the pedal sessions.

Our Improvers course is designed for children aged 5-10 years old who have recently learned how to ride a bike with pedals and would like to develop their skills and confidence further.

Rideability can be indoors or outdoors [traffic free] as part of the regular PE activity and has been developed to fit into school lesson planning. For children, school provides the most accessible and sometimes only opportunity for cycle training.

The course lasts one hour, introducing children to balance bike and develops their basic systematic routines, dynamic balance and gross motor skills through a range of fun activities and games with rewards .

The aim of the course is to build the childs confidence on a balance bike with their feet off the floor. Our qualified instructors have years of experience in teaching children how to ride bikes. Allow us to help your children to master this important life skill.

How to Book, Preparity Schools

How does it work? We have everything you need.

  1. Classes are in groups of maximum ten children
  2. Each class lasts one hour with a small break
  3. We provide three one hour sessions,15 minutes or lunch between sessions per school day.
  4. Minimum bookings three classes any age group
  5. We supply balance bikes and bikes with peddles
  6. We supply helmets and Hi visual gillets

  8. A teacher or teaching assistant to be present at all times
  9. Cost per child for one session £10.00
  10. We cover Hale, Altrincham, Bowdon, Timperley, Sale, Wilmslow, Alderly Edge, Didsbury, Cheadle and Bramhall
